“The SkinGeeks” are my regular monthly clients, and were named this during lockdown when we started our weekly online facials. They receive VIP perks such as securing their appointment slots a year in advance, early access to retreats, as well as being roped into my next crazy ideas… including this one.

I wanted to challenge the misconception that women who invest in their skin are the stereotypical "ladies who lunch" type. The reality is my clients are totally relatable, everyday independent women, who through regular facials with myself combined with a simple homecare routine, maintain their own natural features beautifully without turning to Botox, fillers, or other invasive treatments.

So, I came up with the idea of a professional photoshoot, but with a twist. No makeup, no hairstylists, no stylists—just women showing up as they are, in their own clothes, with nothing but their natural beauty. I quickly prepped their skin with some Eminence Organics Camelia Solid Glow Oil and lip balm, and off we went. Some ladies squeezed it in during their lunch hour, others came straight from work—no frills, just real women.

I wanted it shot in decades of age —20s and 30s together, and then each decade from 40s to 80s individually. In a world of filters and unrealistic beauty standards, I wanted to show how many women would be brave enough to step out, unfiltered, and be photographed for all to see. My SkinGeeks were up for it and they loved every minute, with many having never met before this shoot!

The result was a stunning collection of images that showcase women embracing their natural beauty at every stage of life, proving that you don’t need filters or fancy edits to feel good in your skin. My SkinGeeks prove that beauty isn’t about perfection, it’s about confidence and owning who you are. They know that investing in your skin with expert facials and a good home skincare routine isn’t about perfection, it is about self care and self-confidence.
